Cubase is a digital audio workstation developed for the recording, editing and arrangement of music.
Steinberg – the German developer of Cubase – released the first version of Cubase in 1989, which was operable on the Atari ST computer. Since then the development of newer versions has been ongoing. The latest version: Cubase 8.5 was released on December 2, 2015. There are 3 versions of Cubase avaiable: Pro, Artist and Elements.
Current versions of Cubase support VST-based third party plugins, which amplifies the operative range of Cubase. Cubase is one of the top audio workstations; a versatile program, especially known for the recording and managing of audio.
Thijs De Vlieger from Noisia and Dub Fx are two of many known artists who work with Cubase.
